JUNGLE COCK CAPES - GRADES 2 and 3 (Scarce)

Grade 2:
Probably the most popular grade, nearly as good as the top grade but perhaps with slightly fewer nails. Still plenty of small feathers plus the badger type body hackles.
Price:  £64.00

Grade 3:
Quite good on smaller feathers but middle and upwards tend to be split. Good value at  £48.00

We also have Ungraded capes, most feathers are split, but if you repair or use only JC slips then they may be just what you need.

Note: All are scarce so you may have to wait a little while.  Sorry.

          The top Badger marked neck are easily dyed to give superb
          Shrimp hackles.

VENIARD ROOSTER NECKS

CHINESE ROOSTER NECKS
Popular necks as they are large with full range of hackle sizes right up to Salmon sizes, the hackles are not too stiff and tie in well for singles and doubles plus smaller Trout and Sea Trout flies.

WAPSI ROOSTER NECKS

Anything you see with the Wapsi name is usually top of the range stuff regarding quality but at a price which most tyers can afford to purchase. These necks are bred in the USA from semi genetic stock, this means they are still large necks and are culled at a time when the hackles are
in their prime.

Large capes with plenty of hackles from small to extra large Salmon sizes. Quite slim in the hackle stem which means they don’t bulk up fly heads.

Colours: Black, Furnace, Yellow, Orange, Red, Shrimp Orange/Coral.

WAPSI MATURE NECKS

Large capes as you would expect from the USA. As these are grown on for an extra year the hackles do become rather stiffer in the smaller sizes.
Great for dry fies in 10 to 14 sizes. The larger hackles are longer in the fibres for beard hackles on Sea trout and Salmon flies whilst the mid range hackles are great for your usual Salmon hackles.

Available in Black, Yellow, Orange, Red, Blue, Pink, Olive.

patterns down to 14's.

KEOGH SALMON NECKS

Keogh Hackles, from Mitchigen in the USA produce some of the best capes whch we in this country use for Sea Trout and Salmon flies. Over the past year or so supplies have been rather scarce but we have now found a more reliable supply. Really large necks with plenty hackles for sea trout and salmon flies, slim hackle stalk and semi stiff hackles. Specially bred for Salmon flies. Even the small hackles at the base will tie a size 10 hook.

Colurs available: Pink, Chartreuse, White, Brown, Olive, Purple, Grey, Green, Blue. Orange, Yellow, Red, Black, Orange dyed Grizzle.

COCK PATCHES - Top or Bottom Parts of Cape (Scarce)

We listen to our customer needs, one of them being that some only
need either the top or the bottom part of the cape. For this year we are going to split the Wapsi and Keogh into tops for larger flies and the bottoms for those smaller Salmon or Sea Trout flies. In this way you
only need to obtain the part of the required cape.
