KEOGH WHITING HEN SADDLES

Very much under rated capes, we use a lot of these ourselves on our own flies. Soft and webby hackles which are easy to tie in, use on sea trout, salmon and shrimp flies. With these hackles you can tie a neat, streamlined fly as the hackle tends to stay in position where tied in, use also for beard hackles on smaller flies. These will become scarcer as again future supplies are uncertain.

If we do become low in supply we shall supply half capes at £7.95.

Most hackles in the 6 to 10 sizes, webby but you will find easy to work with, these capes can be used to produce the most beautiful flies you have ever tied. I use a lot of these hackles. Free sample on request.

WHITING HEBERT MINER COCK SADDLES

Best known for their natural colours such as Duns and Browns with brassy overtones from the legendary Hebert/Katskill breeding stock.  Very keenly priced saddles.  Bronze quality.  Nice slim, long hackles.

SCHLAPPEN HACKLES

Big hackles with large amount of web, favoured feather used by tyers of classic salmon flies. We use a lot of these hackles on our sea trout and salmon flies. Ideal for beard hackles.

Use these for those bushy moth type sea trout flies. In our opinion an under rated hackle.
(On each of the American saddles opposite you get about 20 of these hackles).

HEN SADDLE PATCHES

A patch is a piece of a cape, our patches are reasonably sized and are very good value.
If you need a specific colour and don’t need a full cape then this is the best way to obtain them.
Plenty of top quality hackles on each patch.

Hen saddles have wide and webby hackles for sea trout and salmon flies, they are easy to work with
and tend to stay where you tie them. For the novice tyer they don't stick out like umberellas on your fly.
Perfect for Sea Trout flies and Shrimp flies etc.
