Texture of Skunk is very straight and long, slim in taper and rather unique as the hair is softer than Bucktail and stiffer than Squirrel.
The only 'in between' hair we know of.

The hair consists of alternating bands of mainly natural black and white hair, use for tubes, hair wing sea trout or salmon flies.
The best way to buy is the full tail as you get all the black and white bits,
It does not smell!

These are the rather softer Kip Bucktails which are much wider in the
tail when cured and feature really nice softer hair. Long enough for the largest of Tube flies or Waddingtons.

These come from Minnesota and have been expertly tanned and dyed to eliminate oil and smell.
Nice tails to work with in a good range of colours; Super Bright Colours.
