FAULTY NYLON MONO

Extremely rare to get faulty nylon nowadays as it is made on such high tec equipment to exacting standards. If it does break, then look at the power exerted on it, look at your rod rings, particular the tip ring for signs of wear or ceramic breakage, then look at the reel bail arm pick up roller for signs of wear or using too small a nylon strain than the roller was designed for.
Best that you know these things from our 45 years of experience.

MAXIMA Chameleon

Very popular line, tough with good knot strength, blends in to become almost invisible in water.
The Chameleon is mainly used for spinning and has become a brandleader in nylon.
We find that the sizes above 15lb can be a little too ‘springy’ on some reels resulting in coiling off your spool when it should stay put.
Saying this, many fishermen use it and it is consistent.

I don't think that this mono has ever let anyone down yet in the many years we have been stocking it.

Bulk 1/4 lb spools of top grade line, many of our local anglers use this. Neutral brown which is nearly invisible in water.
This nylon has a reputation for reliability.

QUANTUM SALSA

I liked this line from the moment I saw it, dull red colour which vanishes in water (although I would put a clear leader on the bait.
Apart from the low stretch and the very suppleness of the line,
it has a very low line diameter compared to other lines.

Just compare this to say Maxima for the same breaking strain.
You will be amazed. If you put a wind knot in this nylon and give a steady pull you probaby cannot break it. Even the strongest of this nylon is of a finer diameter than most others.
It's good, in fact it's great. Comes on 300 yard spools as follows.

This nylon comes from a small Irish company which we have found and whom we are supporting.

It is a big selling, really good monofil line at a great price.
The 100 metre spools are connected so you can have as many as you require to fill your reel without waste.
Nearly clear in colour, great for spinning or fly leaders.
