SPINNING BAITS

Here are some old Hardy baits from the 30/40s, beautifully made and quite expensive at the time.
Not available now (in case you think we have supplies) but illustrated for the interest in old baits.

FLYING C BAITS (Best made)

This must be the best fish catching bait of all time, the Flying C takes Salmon, Trout, Sea Trout, Pike and also Sea fish. We manufacture all
of our Flying C baits here using all the best of materials and hooks,
our baits are strong and well finished with perfectly cut tails.

Over the years we have made thousands of these and can't remember
a single bait coming back as faulty. Many commendations.
We can also make any special variation you require, just let us know what you need.
Many customers mention that these are the best quality ones made.

UNWEIGHTED FLYING C BAITS

These are normal size condoms but fitted with a polystyrene body, they are used for running fish, being
lighter they fish nearer the surface where fish tend to run. Approximate weight is 5gms.
These can be quite effective.
Use one of our Double swivel leads to give casting weight, yet allowing the bait to fish high in water.

TO AVOID ANY WEIGHT PROBLEMS

On all of our Flying C baits we try to keep within a gram or so of described weights, as we use our own top grade weights and bearing in mind that the components may weigh 3 to 4 gm on top of the weight size it can alter things slightly. We do give an average size.

SPINDLE FLIES - Ready made.
We have various patterns, ready tied in all sizes as listed below. Designed to be used with a spinning rod, can be quite deadly.

BODIES ONLY - To tie your own flies.
Genuine Spindle brass bodies precision made by Peter Thornley, the originator of the Spindle Fly as described in his article (Trout & Salmon, January 09).

In 5 sizes of various weights and are designed to be used with a spinning rod. The weighted head counterbalances the line tension allowing the fly to swim horizontally.

We have various patterns of flies ready tied. Actual Spindle sizes listed, allow about half inch or so extra length for dressed fly.
