LANE MINNOWS - Genuine

George Lane and his wife used to make these by hand in the 70/80s
if I remember correctly, we sold many of these with a rather different double strand mount painted red at the end near the treble.

I think they were originally made from acetate in some way but the secret still remains with son John who started making the Lane Minnow again in 2007.
He makes 1 3/4" sizes only at the moment in the original Tiger striped colours: Gey/Silver, Grey/Gold, Grey/Blue.

Made in Ireland and we still send a lot of these baits back to our many Irish customers!

ALLCOCK DERWENT SPOONS

Made again by the rejuvenated Allcock company who were very famous for baits some 20 years ago. Used on the River Derwent in Cumbria by many local anglers with great success.

We give Dennett a lot of trade and in turn obtain some good prices

Main point about these spoons is the fact that they are initially stamped from copper sheet, wether this is better than steel we do'nt know but most of the cheaper spoons are made from steel.

What we do know however is that for £1.43 you cannot purchase anywhere any cheaper.
